Mission: For those just diagnosed with cancer, research may be too late. Pink Ribbon Girls (PRG) provides essential care now, including healthy meals, rides to treatment, house cleaning essentials, education and peer support to breast and gynecological cancer patients and their families free of charge. These services increase treatment compliance, nutrition and education, creating an overall positive impact on our clients’ cancer journeys and outcomes. Instead of the challenges of daily life, PRG clients can focus on healing and precious time with their families. Our vision is that no one travels this road alone…™
Results: In 2021, PRG provided 151,927 healthy meals, 16,037 rides to treatments and 1,136 house cleaning essentials kits.
Target demographics: PRG provides critical services to breast and gynecological cancer patients at their time of greatest need. This is independent of age, stage, or socio-economic considerations - because cancer doesn’t discriminate.
Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2021, PRG served 2,711 client families, including 5,164 adults and 1,047 children.
Geographic areas served: Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio; St. Louis, Missouri; San Francisco Bay Area, California
Programs: Simply Fight™Breast Cancer Stages 0-IIIGynecological Cancer Stages 0-IIThrough this program pillar, PRG provides healthy meals for each household family member delivered directly to our clients' doors, up to 60 one-way rides to cancer related treatments, a non-toxic house cleaning essentials kit, including a light-weight vacuum, and unlimited peer support. No Age No Stage™Breast Cancer Stage IVGynecological Cancer Stage III-IVPRG clients and their families receive a stipend of up to $3,200 to spend on services that are customized to each family’s particular needs.
