Peerless by Tymphany 830668 10" Paper Cone SLS Subwoofer

Current use: using 2 of these in a 1.88 cubic foot sealed box just below my rear deck. I tried High passed at 60 hz 24 db/oct. And I originally tried to do 50 hz 12 db/oct but the speakers could not handle the lows well. Finally high passed around 100 hz. low pass is fairly flexible in the 200-300 hz range depending on your use. If you low pass higher than 300 hz, you will hear distortion. Pros: very musical, hits with authority as long as you dont give it too many lows, good for your buck, adds a dimension of music that most of your friends will not have in their ride. transient power is very impressive, it has quickly become my favorite speakers in my car because of that unique sound you won't typically hear in a car (the hard thump normally associated with quality home theatre systems) Cons : it's not a subwoofer. It's a midbass that can play a little lower than most midbasses, I have 2 and still need a subwoofer. It's also potentially one of the hardest speakers to tune. It can't go too high or too low, doesn't take a ton of power, needs a high and low pass, DO NOT RUN FREE AIR. I tried it and output was reduce by a lot before I put it in a sealed box
