just the right size and it doesn't burn my hand like the previous one did. it is also a tad bigger, and a lot heavier ( 3 lbs. ) so you dont need to press hard to get the results you want. gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because i dislike that it is not flat. it has ridges on the face. i would prefer completely flat surface. but it works. good buy for the money.

This grill press is nice and hefty. It works great to make smash burgers. My previous method for smashing burgers was using a very small press or pressing spatula with a seasonings bottle. This press is 8 round, which is probably a little large as I need to move the burgers around my small grill in order to have room to smash each burger.
