Mission: Empowering children of abuse and neglect through life-affirming programming, year-round mentorship and scholarships.
Results: On River time has taken 160 teens from four children's homes to fly fishing camps in Idaho. In addition, we are providing life skills instruction called "SOAR" (Success, Opportunity, Attitude, and Resiliency) to the college age students who have aged out of their Childrens homes. These include interview skills, resume writing, communication skills, business etiquette and ethics. We have also provided 40 scholarships to high school graduates since 2012.
Target demographics: Children of abuse and neglect, living in group children's homes, to help them to grasp they are not defined by their past, they have worth and a future filled with hope.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 70 teens and college age students from four children's homes.
