Mission: Our mission is to provide the highest level of compassion for the animals entrusted in our care; to measurably reduce companion animals' overpopulation and to take a leadership role in promoting humane values and education for the benefit of animals.
Programs: The Olympic Peninsula Humane Society (OPHS), is an open-admission, high-save shelter serving the largely rural communities of Clallam County, Washington for over 74 years. Admitting approximately 1,500 animals a year, OPHS is the only animal agency on the Peninsula accepting any domestic animal, regardless of age, health or behavioral disposition. OPHS offers programs to assist animals such as Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP), a subsidized outsourced service for low income pet owners that provides approximately 50-75 procedures each year.
