When opening the box for the first time I did a terrible thing. i dropped the glass container and it bounced off the floor (AGRRR!) i was sure it would break into a million pieces, but to my surprise (and delight) it didn't. We inspected it carefully and there wasn't even a crack! We have been using this milk frother twice a day for two weeks and absolutely luv it. People seem to be warming the milk first, and then pumping it into a froth... but we discovered that frothing our milk BEFORE warming it in the microwave gave the smoothest mixture. We luv this milk frother. And the thin glass container is stronger than it looks HA.
