I can't stand most white noise machines which are just speakers playing recorded or constructed audio. This is the real deal, essentially a little fan like system that you can adjust the sound a bit creating proper white noise. If you love the sound of a fan or similar you'll love this, great for soothing over background noises.

I was previously using my air filter for white noise, but when it died and the best replacements all said how quiet they are, I decided to buy this. I have had the best sleep in years since I’ve started using it! It’s loud enough to drown out unpleasant sounds, but not so loud that I worry about my hearing. Its noise is fan based, so it sounds exactly like my old air filter, which I enjoy. There are two switch settings, one louder than the other, but you can also turn the casing to reduce the noise a bit if it’s still too loud. Or you could leave them all open for maximum fan noise.

Easy to use and the sound is perfect to block out other noise. There are different levels of the same fan sound and no other choices. This is fine for my use and works exactly how I need it to.

Great product. Takes up a small footprint on my nightstand as compared to the electric fan I had there previously. Masks and "smoothes out" noises that otherwise would prevent solid sleep. I love these things and now own 3.

I purchased this to replace a tabletop fan that we were using for white noise. This is a much more visually pleasing option, as it is sleek and takes up very little space on my bedside table. The noise level is adjustable. Plus its compact size makes it perfect for traveling....no more hauling a bulky tabletop fan on vacations! Highly recommend!

I've been using this for almost 10 years now, and I couldn't imagine living without it. The mind races too much when its too quiet. It's natural instinct to think something is wrong if we here a random sound. Is it the cat? Did a small branch fall? Turn this baby on, and your brain can't even be bothered. This has helped me sleep through the neighbors mowing their lawn all the time, the loud trash trucks, and so many other sounds that might jolt someone awake, when your monkey brain kicks in, thinking its in trouble. I have had had it on a smart plug forever, so I just have to tell Alexa to turn it on at night(or make it part of a routine). Then I don't have to remember to turn it on before I lay down. It has happens more times than you'd imagine before the plug implementation. I don't sleep as well away from home when I don't have this to help me sleep. The real deal.

I turned it on and could barely hear it. Someone gifted me a Marpac 6 years ago and it had volume controls. Very loud and very effective if you live in the city.

We were looking for something to replace an old air purifier that we had been using as a noise machine to sleep by. We wanted something that sounded like a fan. This is perfect, as it sounds like a fan and the highest volume works perfect for our needs. Try this out in the room you want to use it in. When we first started it, the volume seemed way too low, however, once we tried it in the bedroom , in the location we wanted it in, it sounded much louder. We love it and highly recommend it.

This works really well for apartment living. It doesn’t totally override a loud neighboring TV but it has a peaceful sound, compact design, is portable, and definitely better than wearing headphones for extended periods. Great small unobtrusive unit.
