This has a soft rubber pad on the back and stay where you put them. These work amazing.

This is a pretty basic mechanics fender protector. It's not padded enough to protect from a dropped wrench but that would be asking a lot. It does prevent against rub marks and potential scratches, but.... The back side of the protector has little bumps of rubber to keep it from sliding around. A good idea but somehow this left a little mark in my wax for every little bump. Having to wash and re-wax the car seems like a lot of headache I didn't expect. Now to be fair, I do use a fairly soft wax on my old hobby car. Previously I had been using a big double folded beach towel instead of a fender protector which - while not looking as cool- provided equivalent protection and didn't mar the wax. I will probably give this one to charity and buy something different

Sometimes leaves a checkers pattern on the metal but grab a cloth and rub it off and it goes away easy

Hugs the fender and light weight, great that you do not have to deal with the weighted bulky and hard to clean ones. This is machine washable and for the low price buy 5 and wash them ones a week!

I used it two days ago outside and it was windy but the fender cover stayed on. It is well made and will serve me many years. I wish I had ordered a larger fender cover, however. I have a small gripe though. I noticed that the rubber backing left an oil imprint on the paint which I had to clean off. Perhaps I can wash off the rubber backing so that it will not happen again.
