I have a few spices that get used very quickly, and I purchase them in bulk to save money. But the bulk containers didn't fit in my spice rack (too tall!). So I was refilling a tiny spice jar every few days. That was annoying! These lids were a nice find. I can fit an 8 or 16 oz jar in my rack and these give me a shaker lid. They fit just as they should. The holes are bigger than those on a standard spice bottle, which actually works well for me. And the larger hole on the other half is nice because I can fit a measuring spoon through without completely removing the lid. Overall, the big reason I like these is because they make cooking a little bit easier. Anything that makes cooking a bit easier and less stressful... is very beneficial in our house!!
