Not functioning properly

Replaced 15 year old Grizzly knock off that sufficed but this machine runs like a charm. understand its new but runs smooth out of box, no issues with deck or blades. Easy setup and love I am able to attach or detach the deck arms. Depth seems accurate and settings work .

I highly recommend this planer. I researched and this is the best portable planer out there. I had this for a month and I ran about 60 feet rough lumbers and no issues. It has a strong built in fan that you just need to connect the 4inch hose to the planer and a dust bag to collect the wood chips. I saw the setup at Rockler and purchased the bag and hose and just set them up to test the dust collection functionality today and it really works without connecting it to a dust collector or a shop vac. Prior to this setup, I used a shop vac and ran through three 16 gallon dust collection bags. I plan to build a stand for the planer and dust bag later this week.

It will only planne pine, it won't planne walnut, oak, or Maple, not worth the box it comes in

I could not have made a better investment in a shop tool. This thickness planer does everything it promises with ease.

Missing hardware to mount the side tables and Dewalt was no help so will have to buy extra hardware to make it work. Their suggestion was to pack it all up and send it back. You would think sending a small packet of hardware would be simple enough.

Kept kicking out. Poor design. Overoad/rest is included in unit, heat builds up from motor and causes it to kick out. I moved the reset to the outside of unit and it has not stopped yet. I was having to hold a air hose on the button to keep it running. I'm a industrial electrician by trade

Aside from you needing double hearing protection and basically a dedicated 20 amp circuit. There's problems with the feed roller gears shearing the keys so the rollers quit pulling wood. Mine just refuses to pull wood through no matter how thin the cut. I've cleaned em, checked for obstructions, etc etc and it's a 750 dollar door stop. No more DeWalt for me!

The planer performs well. Easy to use, great finish. This was a deal where the extension wings were part of the package; however, Dewalt failed to include the attaching hardware for the wings. It was extremely difficult to get someone to understand the problem, asking for pictures and copies of orders and receipts. After several days of no response, I called and the representative I spoke to, while quite nice, had no clue as to what I wanted. Finally, it was figured out and they sent the 4 bolts, 4 nuts, and 4 springs. Unfortunately, they quoted 15 days delivery time, blaming the carriers for the delay.
