Mission: A)to cooperate with other charitable organizations, which are working to develop a better habitat for economically disadvantaged people. This includes building homes for qualifying low income families wherein they only sign a mortgage for the cost of materials, and they pay no interest, or where minor repairs may be needed. The labor for building or repairing the homes is donated by the fuller center organization or local organizations, inclding the required work hours by the benefitting families. B)to promote the common good and general welfare of the city of greenwood, leflore county, mississippi, its inhabitants, surrounding territories and its inhabitants, benefiting society by reducing blighted housing conditions.

Programs: The affiliate continued to collect the payments on low income house notes(at no interest) from 31 houses and cottages built/placed in prior years. One house was continued in the current fiscal year, and the costs of placing 1 fema cottage in baptist town area of greenwood was continued. One cottage were transferred to new families after deaths of original owner. The majority of the labor for building the houses is contributed by the local fuller center for housing organization, any cooperating organizations, and the family which will take ownership of the house. Certain costs are incurred to store and insure materials inventories until used on a house and to provide workmen's compensation coverage on volunteer labor, and construction liability insurance coverage that is not charged to homeowners.

in conjunction with the fuller center group mission, the local chapter adopted a program of helping needy families with minor home improvements and energy weatherization that do not exceed a reasonable amount per family. The family then makes a commitment to repay as they can. The local chapter assisted approximately sixteen families during the current fiscal year. The program is referred to as the greater blessing box. Most of the labor is donated and the cost of some of the materials is paid from organizational funds and designated gifts.

per agreement with fuller center for housing, the local affiliate makes a contribution when possible to the fuller center for housing international, which assists fuller center administer its programs on a national and international basis. Fuller center also provides support to the local chapter in the way of construction methods, standards, and house plans.
