I'm in the process of a specific build and going for exact. This is a Fender-branded guard that has vintage specs. Exactly what I needed.

Perfect fit for my MIM strat. Got a guitar in trade with a horrible painted one and this was exactly what I was looking for and not overpriced.

I have purchased many of number 0991343000 for modernized 60s Strat builds. This is a 60s mint green SSS guard with 60s hole spacing, a truss rod cutaway, and countersunk pickup and switch screw holes. It has an aluminum plate on the back instead of tape for the shield. What I received is part number 111260642, which is printed on a "New Item" label stuck over some other label. (If I decide to keep it, I will try to peel the label off to see what the other label says.) It does not have countersunk screw holes and has no shield. It does appear to have 60s screw spacing and does have the truss rod divot. I have a drill press and countersink bit and a few rolls of copper tape, so I can make this work, but this is not what I expected to receive. Did Fender change the part? Or did I just receive something weird? (Admittedly, it has been a few years since I built one of these.)

This pick guard is a very light color of mint green actually was too light for meIt's almost white. Other than the color. It's a good guard. However after a month I purchased a darker one

This is a much more realistic and vintage looking color than any aftermarket mint green I've bought. Aftermarket ones are always too green and looks strange. This replaced my white guard that always bothered me. It looks really great now. Paired this with aged white parts and it changed the look dramatically for the better.

I built a guitar based on John Frusciante's 1964 strat. The body I acquired being a 90's American vintage reissue of the 1962 vintage, there were only 8 pick guard screws.Somewhere along the line, one of Frusciante's guitar techs installed an 11 hole pick guard, as is easily seen in photographs of his live performances. This pick guard is easily installed on an 8 hole body so long as you pilot the screw holes with a hand drill. Anything powered would be overkill and sloppy. Pay special attention to the screw that buttresses up against the control cavity, because you will need to angle it to gain any purchase into the wood.I don't know if this would be great for a poly finished guitar, but the nitro body I used it on was absolutely perfect. Have put many hours into playing this guitar with zero issues in regards to the pick guard. The three ply is cut accurately and squared up with the bridge exactly as it should.
