Originally found in a various Philips CRT TV's, this speaker features a rectangular design with a rigid stamped steel basket. On this driver, the mounting tabs sit 3/8" behind the mounting flange, but thanks to the front mounted foam gasket this driver could easily be installed on the back of your baffle. The rigid polymer frame is designed to evenly distribute pressure across the front gasket when rear mounted. In addition, the magnet is fully shielded allowing you to use this driver near any electronics that are sensitive to stray magnet fields.
Use these speakers in any low cost audio project whether it be a portable speaker, adding music to toys and models, or building an enormous line array for pennies. At such an economical price, these drivers won't last forever, quantities are limited.
