I wasn't sure if I would like the color because I don't typically like bronze. However, after seeing the knobs in person, I really like the "Satin Gold" color. I would describe it as something like a brushed bronze. Also, these things are hefty little chunks of steel, weighing around 62g each, giving a nice feel. Inspired by curiosity, I decided to do a quick spark test on the back of one of the knobs. They seem to be made using a decent quality carbon steel which is basically what the seller explains. These attributes alone do set the knobs above many others . That said, I think the cross hatching is bad. It's very superficial, kind of sloppy, and I don't feel it functions well as decoration or as a griping aid. Also, the sellers description boast "crafted with precise detail". That's just not what I see. It is true, as the image shows, the width is 25.4mm which equals exactly 1 inch ( I'm attributing the extra 8 hundredths of a millimeter to the calipers gripping the knob at a slight angle) Still, that's the easy detail as I'm sure these are cut from a piece of round stock that is already a perfect 25.4mm. In the image, I tried to captor the detail of the the knockdown edge between the face and side. The knockdown is different in depth on every single knob. This difference is substantial enough, on some, that it really stands out if one is installed in close proximity to any other. Before continuing I need to explain something. For years I worked in high rise condos, apartment blocks, and stand alone homes as a maintenance technician / handyman. Issues with door, cupboard, and drawer hardware is possibly one of the most common complaints I would get. Because of this, I have installed and repaired hundreds of different kinds of knobs. The reason I'm saying this is because I want to explain that, to my fingers, the threading in the knob (female thread) feels slightly loose or large. I have learned to always use threadlock when using machine screws. With these knobs, however, I feel like even with threadlock, I will have to tighten them so much, in order to withstand daily use, that the knob will unreasonably mar any wood installed onto. I could be wrong, and I have not yet installed the knobs. Ultimately, I wanted these to install on some drawers in my little workshop and I still thank they'll work great for that purpose. However, I would be reluctant to install these on a nice piece of furniture, or in a bedroom, ect...
