Got my entire stereo system installed in the car, was super excited to Tune it with REW. The unit I received lights up Blue, but there is zero input picked up. I have tried multiple PC's, MAC etc. As someone else said, how did this thing get a calibration file if its already dead when it made it to me.

This is a pretty good microphone to use for home or vehicle. The only downfall is the size of the microphone and the calibration file from Dayton doesnt work on SMAART unless you alter their calibration file. I setup (FS -20 94db) and compared it to one of my ISemCon microphone with 85db, pink noise, and it came relatively close. Then I created a calibration file myself using my ISemCon as reference. It's definitely worth it, if you are using it for home or car. I wouldn't use this on the field to calibrate a large room, I'd probably use it only for SPLs and to keep RTA running at Front of House. 4/5 score mainly for the size of the microphone. Performance is great
