Helped a lot with my plantar fasciaitis. Read the instructions on how to use the boot. You need the top strap tight enough to hold the boot on, but the other straps around your leg and foot should be loose enough to take pressure off of your foot so you can sleep. If there's no way to relieve the pressure, the angle you've set may be too severe, and need to be loosened a little. It is heavy, and it will be difficult to sleep on the side opposite of the boot. Perhaps if the boot was lighter, and the exterior less rough, that might be different. Overall, this boot was very useful to me for recovering from plantar fasciaitis. Do NOT forget your stretches and foot massages that you should also be doing when you have plantar fasciaitis. You should also be following the advice of your podiatrist.
