Programs: Stepping stone transitional housing program provides 18 units for families staying 12 months

shelter agency has 17 apartments to house homeless families and provide food and counseling. Average stay is 100 days, and agency also places families in temporary housing

neighborhood assistance program meets the immediate needs of families, seniors, and people with disabilities who live in our hill neighborhood of new haven by maintaining a food pantry to provide emergency food and assisting people with eviction/utility shut off problems.

advocacy and education project ("aep") addresses issues concerning welfare, health care, jobs and housing. Aep provides supplemental monies for approximately 25 individuals for education and training programs. The arise center provides support services to families who are at risk of being homeless. Arise stands for accessing resources for independence skill building and employment. The arise program offers services such as employment search assistance, family counseling, & empowerment, daycare, case management, referrals, and health and wellness workshops.
