Mission: ChildrenUP supports post-primary education in northern Uganda by offering scholarships to qualified students. ChildrenUP is assisting secondary school and certificate students in northern Uganda who have shown academic strength, a strong work ethic and are in financial need. We are now expanding our support to include diploma, and university support for students on an individual cost-sharing basis. We strive to add equal numbers of young men and women to our program.
Results: ChildrenUP has brought educational opportunity to 71 students from 2008- 2022.We have 40 secondary students in 2022.7 students are in higher education in 2022.Our student alumni are in the following fields: Nursing, Medical Lab Technician, Water and Sanitation Engineering, Computer Science and Teaching. ChildrenUP has a success rate of 87%.

Programs: We provide the two-fold package: Mentoring: Our in-school and student advocates provide for students’ needs and concerns, help with payment of expenses, and foster communication with parents and guardians. Funding: We pay tuition and fees, room and board, mentoring, supplies and transportation for each student.
