The news is mixed. It went together very easily and seems sturdy and works as advertised. Right now it's on carpet and not very noisy but when I had it downstairs on tile it was still minimally noisy. At this point, my kitty has not gotten interested and is a little bit timid. I've tried waving a toy over the track, but so far she hasn't been enticed. I'm certainly going to give it more time and perhaps try the suggestion of one of those pasty cat treats that come in a tube, though I don't want to mess up the walking surface in any way that might be permanent. I plan to revisit this review after we (Natasha and I!) Have had more time with this item.

If you're like me you like reading reviews. I have three cats, and only one uses it (I probably could have guessed before purchasing). But she loves it! Easy to assemble ( if you can read directions.) Would be 5 stars but kinda pricy, and I would have liked if they designed it with the wheels covered better. I'd hate to see a cat tail get caught

When I received this item and began assembling it I thought for sure that I had been duped. It's made out of plastic and when putting it together it seemed so flimsy. My cats are on the larger side, not fat but large breeds. Once it was all assembled though it appeared stable enough. It's been up for a couple weeks, and the cats are getting more comfortable with it and use it more and more often. It's holding up to my Egyptian Mau's mad dashes on it. The size of it is reasonable considering it accommodates my cats, who are all over 12lbs. It was very easy to assemble. I would recommend this to others.
