They do work- but nowhere near on the level that the commercials are selling. In real world use on multiple rooms they proved to be OK- not great. Likely 3 and 1/2 stars.

Read the intructions and watch video. It's requires speed, hand placement, and hand pressure adjustments. but if you have a lot of edges it pays off. My suggestion: Saturate the roller with paint. Go light on pressure on your first pass. Spread and press harder with the second. 3rd is another light pass. Final pass is as light as first and make sure to finish by backrolling to hide the wheel marks. More passes are needed for rough surfaces (like over-textured orange peel). The shield will remove paint from other surface. Happens. Better if you're only dealing with 2 colors and not 5, like me. Practice. Practice. Practice.

Looked like it was a great idea. I was careful not to get any paint on edger part, but the roller didn't get close enough to wall on edge. Did not work. Save your money
