I purchased this after I switched to Comcast's gateway instead of using my own modem. Their gateway has MoCA enabled by default, and even though you can switch it off temporarily it will turn itself back on within an hour or so. So, I needed a way to prevent my neighbors from accessing my network. This product fit the bill perfectly. It was easy to install, I just removed my old coaxial ground block and screwed this to the outside of my house in its place. I then transferred the ground wire over. It works well, I've checked my DOCSIS signal levels several times since installing it and my signal levels have not been affected at all. Haven't noticed any network intruders either!

I was having issues with signal drops which ended up being related to a faulty GCFI that kept tripping and killing power to the coax splitter/power injector. Took me a while to figure that one out! We ended up getting rid of cable and in a mad OCD fit, I gutted the junction box and completely redid it, buying not only a new box but also the MoCA filter. Because I love projects. I terminated all of the other coax and rolled them neatly out of the way, just in case I ever changed my mind. I now have a simple service coax to modem connection with a stable, solid connection. And speeds consistently over what Comcast charges me for.
