I use this book to teach a homeschool group ASL. I like it because it is devided into short lessons that allow me to easily plan what I'm teaching each week.

This book is helpful for a course. It's definitely dated, but most of the signs are still the same, and our instructor does a good job of pointing out where the book is dated. Also, the first time I looked at the signs with arrows indicating movement, it was confusing. However, after learning signs in class and then looking at the book, it's easier to interpret signs I have to officially learned yet. I personally think this book is a good supplement to a course, but I am unsure how helpful it would be independently.

This book is great for helping anyone learn sign language! It has phrasing as well as individual signs. Pictures are clear on what you need to do to get the word correct.

This book is perfect for those wanting to learn American Sign Language. The pictures are super descriptive and the information is quite accurate. I am now taking part in deaf chats once a month and adding new words to my vocabulary all the times.
