This tape was originally developed for automotive use where lines masked need to be crisp and clean. I first used it for detailed work on my boat but now I use it exclusively. It works better than any other tape I have ever used and is easy to remove leaving no residue.

I've never found another tape that equals that of the yellow 3M. I have just about finished a roll that has to be close to 10 years old and is still like new. Great adhesion, great release without mess. I don't do a lot of body and paint but once in a while I'll pick up a vehicle that needs both. I count on this tape for masking panels, holding up under aggressive sanding, wet and dry, and securing paper or plastic for larger areas. It comes off in one piece and that's just as important as the application.

Excellent masking tape, it is easy to peel and easy to cut it with just fingers. I have use the tape on paper, cardboard, glasses and foam. the adhesive is very good that it doesn't leave glue on the subject. When peeling it doesn't tear away the paper.

I use this for woodworking projects - This being a lot tougher than the blue and "white" versions. It goes on smoothly - it's a little thicker than the blue and has very good adhesive on it. You may want to leave a little tab or fold for getting it off. I left mine on for a couple of days as I was making dovetails and it was really stuck on there when it came time to take it off. Writing and marking lines show up especially well so very useful in that way too. All in all, it's my favorite masking tape - I'll be buying this again.

Like a lot of painters (admittedly I'm a hobbyist, not a pro), I'd tried a bunch of different tape brands. 3M/Scotch always seems to make good stuff, and this product is no exception. Easy to apply and--more importantly--does have excessive stickiness when removing. I've already ordered more.

Originally purchased for making fishing rods. Started using it for everything. Sticks to skin even after it gets wet (unlike most adhesive bandages). Good stuff.
