The RSS265HO-44 10" High Output Reference Subwoofer from Dayton Audio is designed for high power handling and extremely low distortion. A small enclosure requirement allows it to be used in car audio and space limited home audio applications.

Dayton Audio's 10" RSS265HO-44 High Output Reference Series subwoofer is purpose-built for moving lots of air, extreme power handling, extremely low distortion... and it does it all with an extremely small enclosure requirement! The minimum airspace optimization of this driver makes it perfect for car audio automotive applications and limited space home audio applications.
To minimize distortion, three copper short-circuit paths are built into the motor. This reduces second, third, and intermodulation distortion to levels only attained previously by expensive, exotic subwoofers. A side benefit is reduced energy storage and inductance, making the RSS265-HO-44 a very musical subwoofer. In fact, frequency response remains very flat up to 500 Hz.
Additional features include: a heavy gauge black anodized aluminum cone that resists deformation from extreme air pressure levels found inside of small sealed enclosures, a fully ventilated motor for reduced power compression, a rigid cast aluminum frame for structural integrity, and a tough rubber surround that won't wear down over years of use. Dual 4-ohm voice coils allow for a wide array of wiring options.
As with all Dayton Audio subwoofers, you receive a full 5-year warranty. Designed and engineered in the U.S.A.
Including the Dayton Audio RSS265HO-44 10" Reference Series dual voice coil subwoofer and a matching subwoofer starter kit this package makes it easy to build your own custom DIY subwoofer with minimal tools. You just need to make the top, bottom, sides, and back using all straight cuts with no tricky dadoes or rabbets required to complete your own ultra-low distortion compact subwoofer.
Note: This is a dual voice coil driver, 4 ohms per coil. Specifications below were measured with the voice coils wired in parallel for a 2 ohm load.

For the price this sub is super impressive. Replaced a Kicker CompR with this and it blows it away. Super accurate and efficient. Under priced. You wont regret it.

I've been using a Boston Acoustics G3 10 in a custom 1.25 cubic foot ported box in my car for the past several years. It's been the gold standard as far as I am concerned, as it has a great excursion, output level, and durability. However, 2 things have been needing improvement: it's only a single 4 ohm voice coil (so I can't maximize my sub amp power) and it has a rising response in the upper bass which tends to muddy the sound.I have tried other subs to replace the G3 10 but the cons outweighed their advantages.I just swapped the G3 with this Dayton sub and there is more output with the HU set to the same volume (thanks in part to dual voice coil / lower impedance). The Dayton has a heavier weight to it in the lower bass, maybe because of lower Fs than the G3. It hasn't broken in yet but seems promising so far. I need to tweak DSP settings with this new sub since the response, phase, etc. are different vs. the G3.Build quality of the Dayton is excellent and price point is also compelling.

I had a difficult time choosing a sub for my 2015 Z06. I have limited space when factoring in targa top storage and daily driving needs.Based on advice from caraudio.com/forum, I chose a single Dayton 10 in a sealed wedge box with .6 cubic foot space powered by a JBL 5501 mono amp 550 watts at 2ohms. WOW!!!! Once I dialed the AudiControl Lc7i and amp in, I was amazed!!!! Outstanding low end sound. I can't hear distortion.I almost pulled the trigger on a JL Audio 10. I saved hundreds and couldn't be more pleased. I can't compare the two since I never bought it.
