For the price, I thought I'd be getting something small and plasticky. Instead, I got a nice, heavy-duty carabiner style retractable badge holder that looks pretty nice for what it is. Some might not like the size (it's 2 1/2 inches from top to bottom, excluding the tab that keeps the cord from disappearing into the coil) but I don't mind it, especially since the frame is metal and the plastic covers are thick and durable. I paired it with my Cubs World Series Championship lanyard, and the blues even match! I'm completely happy with this item.

This lasted 22 months for me before it broke. Today, the nylon string attaching the vinyl strap to the retractor snapped. Other than that, it worked well at holding my ID badges and staying clipped to a belt loop at my waist.
