Loved the configurability of this DSP and its resolution. It stores 4 presets users can switch between either online or using the provided IR remote. The configurations can be done on a connected laptop usb connection and it has multiple items. To writ, input master volume, throgh analog [rca], toslink, or usb. You can export your settings or input from saved settings. You have a PEQ control for each input [2], and for all four outputs. For each output there is several more - crossover filtering with linkwitz-riley 12 24 48db or butterworth 6 to 48db 6db stepped or Bessel 12db/octave. There are FIR filter options you can input (from files) up to 4096 taps. Adjust gains and delays - even use IIR biquad inputs you can make, when using the PEQs. Theres also a Compressor for each output if you want. Highly configurable device. I used it to adjust a closed-box subwoofer for flat output, using a linkwitz transform from 40hz to 20hz with a q of 0.707. Very satisfied

Did not believe the hype about this, until I installed and started tweaking the system. It is not going to happen in 5 minutes, if you spend some time with it, and follow AVS forums and guides related to the DSP, you will definitely hear the difference. The boominess is gone, explosions and other LFE effects certainly seem much better. A worth investment.

I never leave reviews but having worked with many car audio setups and DSPs, DSP amp combos, head units, vehicles, aftermarket, stock etc etc, the miniDSP is the crux of my system now. Using an ATOTO with a S/PDIF to TOLSINK on the miniDSP and the audio quality is flawless. I used to have awful noise in my system and low pre amp voltage but not anymore. my system is OFF quiet when muted and beyond thumping at 75 volume with very low gain. my amp is cold now

This allows me to set digital crossovers as well as have bass management for my preamp that lacks a dedicated subwoofer output. I use it to set an lpf on my subs and a hpf on my mains and eq my dual subs. Well worth the price. I also purchased the Dirac upgrade but found I got better results with REW and Rephase. MiniDsp support is fantastic and answered any questions I had.

The miniDSP is an amazing audio device that has allowed my Jamo S808 subwoofers to play in tandem with my Kali IN-5 studio monitors. After experimenting with multiple crossover filters and slopes, I finally settled on the mellow roll-off 24db/octave Linkwitz-Riley crossover filters. The revised filter settings allow my Jamo subs to blend perfectly with the Kali's without drawing attention to themselves. The miniDSP offers four presets that can be instantly reconfigured as desired, and once saved to the internal memory of the miniDSP, the presets are available via the (included) remote control. I have used the miniDSP both as a dedicated subwoofer crossover and as a high pass crossover for the Kali's. I did notice a slight loss of resolution with the miniDSP in the signal path vs. running the Kali's directly from the balanced outputs of the Fiio K9 AKM dac/preamp. This is largely due to the superior power supply, dac and analog section in the Fiio. I began to wonder if there was untapped potential waiting to be unleashed from the miniDSP. After doing some research I concluded a high quality linear power supply would be the most logical upgrade path to pursue. I purchased a Fiio/Jade Audio PL-50 (2023 version) linear power supply and aftermarket OCC copper dc umbilical cable. After just a few hours of use, I was stunned at the improvement in sound I was hearing from the miniDSP. I hear increased resolution with a deeper soundstage and zero noise of any kind. Bass impact is amazing now. EDM tracks have never sounded this good on the Kali's. It seems the Fiio PL-50 is the key to unlock the full potential of the miniDSP. You can clearly see in the picture I uploaded how massive the PL-50 linear power supply is vs. the miniDSP's stock wall-wart ac power adapter (sitting inside the copper umbilical cable). I am totally happy now and no longer perceive a slight loss of resolution when running the Kali's directly from the miniDSP's rca analog outputs. The extra $160.00 cost of the PL-50 and OCC umbilical cable is a no-brainer if you seriously want to elevate the performance of the miniDSP 2x4HD.

Adding MiniDSP with DIRAC Live software made a big improvement in the overall sound of my stereo system. I tried adding an equalizer, moving the speakers, then replacing the speakers, but could not get a solid bass sound within my budget. Listening to a Darko Audio podcast on room correction convinced me to try this setup. My listening room is an 18' x 24' great room that is shared with other family activities, so adding sound baffles, or other construction modifications was not an option. Setting up and running the Mini DSP with DIRAC took an entire Saturday afternoon, but the results were stunning. A huge improvement in bass quality without any other modifications. Once I learned the setup procedure and got used to the "new" sound, , I re-ran setup for fine tuning, but other than that, it needs no ongoing attention. As the old TV commercials say, "Just set it and forget it."

This made my studio sound so good I cannot imagine making music without it To use it for sound correction you need to purchase another license to use DIRAC software But it is the most useful device in my studio Would def recommend 5/5
