Beware to all that own MX series, do NOT get the off brand parts! I have owned my MX8 for years and have rebuilt mine. I can personally tell from experience the cheaper off brand parts WILL NOT work as well. I have a 13K gallon pool and the MX8 has been fantastic! 7yrs later and I needed to rebuild it, not hard to do. However, I purchased some new treads and didn't notice they were not from Barracuda. Many hours troubleshooting and lots of frustration, then I happened to notice they were not the same on the inner part of the tread. Bought from Barracuda the replacement treads and bingo! Works like a champ! Hopefully for another 7yrs. I have double digit number of kids, cousins and nephews together, pool is a must in the summer! Thanks for the quality parts!

These are the real Zodiac treads for the MX8. I need to replace these approximately once a year. I've tried the generic versions and they did not perform well with my unit.
