These were slightly larger than my original T-handles, so I had to use a hole saw to make the openings slightly larger. Aside from that, they work very well.

I ordered this to replace others on my boat that had metal T-handles as I wanted something more tolerant of salt water use. The metal handles were pitting. This was easy to set up as I simply measured and copied over the lock arm depth from the replacement. All other applicable dimensions (diameter, etc.) were the same. It does it's job of securing the door just fine, but I am not a fan of how the handle is designed to stay folded down into its recessed space. Two knubs on the back side of the handle are supposed to engage into a couple small rubber boots below, creating a friction fit, to keep the handle folded down and flush with the top. This system just isn't strong enough to keep the handle down, so it keeps popping up about 1/8" each time we hit a wave.
