We LOVE meat snacks in our household. We enjoy trying all different flavors and brands of jerky, meat sticks, etc. Pork sticks are normally a hit or miss - sometimes they are good, other times they are fatty and chewy. These Wenzel’s Farm Dill Pickle pork sticks are pretty tasty! They definitely have a milder seasoning to them with a nice amount of smokiness. The combination of pork, beef, dill, sugar, garlic power, and other spices come together to create a nice flavor and the natural flavor of the pork really shines through. Unfortunately, I didn't get a ton of dill pickle flavor. I am a huge fan of pickles and pickle flavored food. The taste is there, mainly when I am eating the ends (weird, huh?) but not as strong as I was hoping for. As with most pork based sticks, these are a bit oily. The texture is much softer than most meat sticks I have tried. It doesn't have that firm outer casing that pops when you bite into it. It is a subtle pop and the inside is more soft and chewy. They are the perfect snack to bring with us hiking as they are portable and filling. I do wish they came individually wrapped instead of in a 2-pack. (just personal preference) I never eat both at once so I always have to find a way to save the other one for later!
