Mission: We prevent and end homelessness by focusing on permanent solutions: housing, supportive services, employment, and community engagement.

Results: OUR RECORD OF SUCCESS!OUTREACH: 4500 people each year receive help in finding shelter, benefits, health care, mental health services, substance abuse and addiction recovery at Passageways, our one-stop multi-service intake center. SHELTER: About 730 men, women and children receive safe, long-term emergency shelter at Union Station each year. PERMANENT HOUSING: Last year, we helped ~900 people who were experiencing homelessness find permanent housing. One year later, 97% of them are still housings. SUPPORTIVE SERVICES: Clients receive the comprehensive services they need to end the cycle of homelessness. MEALS: We serve 130,000 meals each year, including daily meals for our residents and hungry community members, as well as holiday meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas. SUSTAINABILITY: Union Station has a diverse range of support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government funding sources. 20% of our $20 million dollar budget is received from private sources; ~80% is received from public sources. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: 130 organizations and 3,300 individuals volunteer almost 30,000 hours of service each year. Union Station receives in-kind donations valued at more than $400,000 annually.

Programs: OUTREACH: Union Station Homeless Services leads the delivery of homeless and housing services throughout the San Gabriel Valley. In collaboration with dozens of partner agencies and organizations in the region, we are working to help end homelessness. Our field-based outreach teams locate and assess people who are experiencing homelessness throughout the San Gabriel Valley. They build trust and help people on their journey to finding safe and affordable housing. SHELTER: We offer safe bridge-housing for adults and families. Our residents meet at least weekly with a care coordinator and aim to move into permanent housing within 90 days. Our residents have access to meals, supportive services, medical and mental healthcare, substance use recovery programs, career development classes, and enrichment activities to help them rebuild their lives. We also provide motel vouchers for adults and families as a short term solution. Our shelters include the Family Center and The Adult Center. We also utilize motel vouchers to provide bridge housing solutions for adults and families. HOUSING: Nothing can replace a set of your own keys and a door that locks. Permanent supportive housing offers adults and families the opportunity to stabilize and rebuild their lives in a safe, affordable, and private apartments with onsite support services. - Project Based Voucher Programs: We operate three project based permanent supportive housing apartment buildings in Pasadena. -Tenant Based Voucher Programs: We also operate several scattered site housing programs for adults and families. EMPLOYMENT: For more than 20 years, Sources Career Development has been helping people overcome poverty and homelessness by connecting them to meaningful employment. Sources offers a multidisciplinary approach to help job seekers reach their career goals. Our services are ongoing and our participants know they can return for services as needed throughout their careers. We provide services for individuals living at Union station, as well as for low-income and homeless job-seekers referred by our partner agencies.
