Mission:
The purpose of the Tustin Community Foundation is to promote and advance philanthropy in the greater Tustin area. By partnering with its donors, the Foundation supports nonprofit organizations and public institutions that effectively address ever-changing community needs.
The Tustin Community Foundation is supported 100% by donations from individuals and corporations and is not funded by the City of Tustin nor does it receive taxpayer dollars.
Results: Since 2007 the Tustin Community Foundation has contributed grants and awards to 111 community-wide programs. In addition, the Foundation has connected volunteers to causes they care about, collected food, clothing, cleaning supplies, books and other items to assist those in our community who need support.
Target demographics: Major Program Areas: COVID-19 Community Recovery, Arts & Culture, Civic Affairs, Children & Youth, Community Development, Education, Health & Wellness, Human Service, Seniors and the broad general needs of the community
Direct beneficiaries per year: 90 deserving Tustin area nonprofit organizations and schools received a grant, COVID-19 Recovery Fund donation or donation from their participation in the Paper Football Challenge . . . which means we helped hundreds of people!
Geographic areas served: The Greater Tustin Area includes the City of Tustin and portions of Irvine, Santa Ana and unincorporated Orange County.
Programs: annual community grantmaking that addresses current and emerging community needs;Friends Feeding Seniors where low-income and house-bound seniors receive 3 free restaurant meals delivered every Friday to nourish them through the weekend;a Volunteer in Tustin program that connects people with causes they care about and helps area nonprofit organizations find new members volunteers;the Patriots & Pioneers program that recognizes the sacrifices of our current service people as well as pays tribute to the local heroes who lost their lives in the service of our county;and annual food, pajama, cleaning supplies, and socks & underwear drives to help those in our community who can use a hand-up.
