If you need to keep the voltage into a device steady, a surge protector won't cut it. You need to regulate the input voltage into a narrow band. I use these on all of my digital and voltage dependent devices. It regulates the input voltage of - 10 of 120Vac to be 120Vac, if it exceeds those limits it will trip out and open the circuit until it is reset. It's perfect if you're not worried about backup power, but want to protect voltage sensitive devices, like audio equipment. High quality components, should last a long time.

We recently took a major lightning hit and it worked flawlessly. Also the line used for the TV was very noisy and it removed the noise completely. Very Satisfied!

Unpacked it and plugged the laser printer into it. Computer screens, TVs and light bulbs in the house no longer flicker when someone sends a print job. It's plugged in about 4 feet from my desk but I don't hear any noise from it.

This product works fantastically. My apartment suffers from poor wiring, turning on and off lights, the A/C, and even a mini fridge would all cause my computer and other electronics to cut in and out briefly, obviously interrupting any work or programs I might have had running. After hooking everything on and around my desk up to this, all of my issues have stopped completely. I don't notice the audible hum some mention, but my room tends to be a little noisy. The only time I do hear it is a brief click anytime a voltage drop occurs. I would recommend this to anyone with similar stability issues looking to protect sensitive devices, especially computers once you can rule out a faulty internal power supply.

I really like this unit, which protects a Brother monochrome home laser printer, It is silent until I print a page, at which time there is a low clicking sound as it springs into action to boost the voltage going to the printer. Otherwise the printer would experience a five or six volt power drop. The printer is the only item connected to this device. Accordingly, the power drop impacts the rest of the circuit. However, I use a CyberPower UPS (with true sine wave output) to protect my computer and related gear. A five or six volt circuit drop is not sufficient to cause the UPS to switch into battery boost mode, but it does protect the computer from a really bad power surge or sage. Thunderstorm season is coming here in Washington DC, so this hardware combo of line conditioner forn the laser printer and UPS for the computer and related gear gives me great peace of mind.

Great. Had replaced power supply in self built computer. Upon new supply, random shutdowns again. Figured it couldn't be the PSU twice in a row. Picked up one of these. Sure enough... would click into low voltage mode now then. Flawless operation thus far. update 1/2/18 - still working like a charm.

My problem was spikes in power made window a/c shut down many time an hour. This has corrected that issue and made me very happy. It does click when it is working like a snap of YOUR fingers so if sleeping it may wake you. Well worth the money

I bought the larger one for my home - stereo amps, CD, DVD, TV, etc. The next day my amp tech (I play guitar) recommended this same one for me to use on stage. I bought this one. I have them both about 2 months now. They work well. I was at one gig and the red (under powered) light was on. My amp and rig still worked just fine.

Excellent! Had a laser printer that caused the line voltage to dip down (somewhere around 112V) it would crash the computer every time. Plugged my PC into this unit and no more problems. You can here it click and the 34;Low Voltage34; led lights up for a half second then it goes back to normal. No more computer crashes!

Bought this to replace my no so old but worthless battery backup power cleaner device. Basically this appears to be the same thing but it will allow you to use it without a battery so it should last for many years to come. The crook manufacturers that sell one with a battery force you to buy a new one for nearly a couple hundred bucks when the battery doesn't hold a charge anymore in 2 or so years even without significant use because they go bad on their own. Looking forward to this keeping my computer and components safe without worrying about having to buy a new one in 2 years. Only small downside is if I get a power outage I might lose all my unsaved work. Which only happened to me once in 2 years with the battery backup and I was able to save my files which was nice.

I bought this for my stereo system because I get voltage spikes occasionally and wanted my component stereo to last longer than the last one did. I was totally floored and amazed at the good clean sound coming from my speakers. I will get another one someday for my computer :)
