I have absolutely terrible AC power at my 34;mini-studio34;. Whenever the HVAC kicks in loud pops and click can be heard on all the audio equipment. It was so bad it fried the power supply to my Digital Audio Interface after repeated power surge/sags. I first added a Furman PL-8C and hooked all my equipment to that... which helped but did not fully solve the problem. So... I recently added this Trip Lite LC1800 as the first line of defense and then plugged the Furman into that. Oh man what a difference. No more pops or clicks or power issues. Well worth the price as my 1st line of defense.

Power here is a bit squirrely but this unit takes the worry away. I have one of these on my computer setup, bought another for the home theater stuff.

Running my Tripp Lite over a year now and it's flawless to date! (I'm smoothing out the current from a gas/ propane, 6,600W, 120V generator) I have a super efficient washing machine that didn't like the current from the Gen. (Had a display message saying there was a problem with the line current) Then adding this conditioner took that same power and made the washer say, OK, I'm good with this now. Well, not quite in words, but it would now run on generator power

This device saved me from low voltage bad wiring in my building causing technical problems degrading all my electronics because wasn't getting enough power, really stabilizes the voltage and provides a good source of stable electricity to most devices, using this one on modem, computers, phone, musical instruments, and tv. I have 2 of these now and plan on upgrading to an even higher voltage version of this product. I really like the quality of Tripplite LC1200 it sets an American Standard for high quality living home and work appliances. Lightweight, easy to use, rugged design, looks safe, has a good length power chord, light indicators on the side help to diagnose electrical outlet issues you are having and even makes helpful clicking sounds when there is a change in power, LC1200 works excellent!! makes a subtle noise that you can barely hear but is certainly worth it and better over backup UPS boxes that just die within a year. I expect this thing to last years! Cant wait for another Tripplite power line conditioner !

I bought this to protect my PC system and TV which happen to be on the same line that I have a portable air conditioner hooked up to also. I've been running the unit a few weeks and have heard it click a few times to show low voltage. I hear no hum as others have stated and when I once reached out to the company regarding a question, my inquiry was quickly and professionally resolved.

Well I bought this because the electronic ignition system for our stove would cause my computer screen to either flicker or black out while I was on it. Considering how expensive video cards have become in recent years due to the digital coin miners. I was afraid that this would eventually kill the card and maybe even negatively impact the rest of my computer system. So far it seems to prevent the stove's ignition system from causing my screen to flicker or blackout. So I can say I am quite satisfied so far with it's performance.

This is the 2nd of these Units I have. The first one is in the white case, and has been functioning for me flawlessly for 6 years. Prior to that, it was used in a gold plating application to regulate the voltage to the plating elements--- too high a voltage, you use too much gold losing $$-- to low a voltage-- you get crappy plating.about 6 years ago I got a flat screen, and now it's used to protect that. 1.) No hum at all 2.) give it space to cool by convection. There is no fan, and will generate heat without a load on it. 3.) yes it clicks when your voltage changes, but that is good! You can see it adjusting to compensate for a high or low voltage condition. Invaluable in--- Ice Storms, Thunderstorms, heat waves, numb nuts running into a utility pole on your grid-circuit, etc 4.) It is not a UPS - If the power goes out, you have no power (duh) 5.) It provides surge protection as well as the voltage regulation 6.) It's large and heavy built like a tank An old CRT bit the dust last week, and I had no hesitation buying another one to use there. It also filters out electrical line noise, which acts like a hacksaw on some electronics. The New unit iappears just as solid as the old one. Know what you are buying, and if this is what you want, you will be happy, happy

Works perfect. It protected my 70 inch Sony during a storm and all the electronics. Might not be its intent, but excellent.

This unit feels high quality and it definitely does SOMETHING but has downsides. I installed this unit to protect my entertainment center from my 6kw generator. When my refrigerator turned on this unit would briefly show the low voltage light. When the refrigerator turned off it would briefly show the high voltage light. Makes sense. BUT, when correcting the voltage the unit makes a loud click and my sony led tv flickers. The tv flickering tells me it's certainly not a seamless voltage correction. I hope it's not doing damage but have not measured it yet. As others have said you can hear this unit operate. When it corrects the voltage the loud click or SNAP is loud enough to scare my dog. It also can be heard humming even on clean power. Is it loud? No. Can I hear it when the room is quiet from 10ft away? You bet.

Hums a little bit, and can startle you if it gets a very short voltage drop, as it switches boost on, then off, with a relay clack. But I discovered that we get a whole-house voltage drop early on frigid winter mornings, and it's nice to know that my radio gear is getting full voltage.

It works as intended. I had low voltage for about two months, down to 103 volts at times and this raised it to about 118 or so. The unit itself draws 8 watts no load. I never checked it under load. I bought three, one slightly hums. Not loud enough to return as soon as I turn on computer you can't hear it. It works as designed, I recommend.

When I turned on the vacuum cleaner, this thing kicked in and kept my screen from flickering. I plug guitar amps into it too and it seems to work well.
