I was replacing a White Rogers 50A51 on an old Trane Xl30. An engineer said it was the control board but wanted $1500 to replace it. So I ordered this part and did it myself. At first glance it looked intimdating, but after studying the old connections and the new panel I worked it all out and plugged it in. I ended up mounting it upside down and didn't need to use any of the extensions (5 were provided). And it works great.

Replaced an older model White-Rodgers board with this unit. Fit was close but I needed to use new holes for the two screws on the bottom. Instructions were very clear; however, I would recommend taking a picture of your old board prior to removal and then building a map for the new board. The nomenclature was nearly exact between the two boards so I made a chart with old position(number) and color of wire and then assigned to the new board. The board came with five, 6 M-F jumpers with spade connectors. I required an additional six jumpers (purple) that I fortunately had the materials to make. The two plugs were an exact fit between boards. Took me about an hour and when I turned the breaker back on the furnace operated perfectly (immediately calling for Hi-Heat). If your mechanically/electrically inclined and take your time this is a straight-forward replacement and doing it yourself is not only rewarding but also cost effective.
