The Theracane is well designed to reach your muscle knots. Most of my neck pain is gone after using it and Where my pain was constant it now intermittant and not debilitating. The cane is very sturdy. It lost a star because it is so costly but it is well worth the investment. You'll better understand the phrase "hurts so good." I would recommend the trigger point book by Clair Davies to go along with it. This book The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief, Second Editionis well written and it truly helps you understand reference of pain so you locate the proper knots.

Although this Theracane seems lighter in weight than an "original" we saw at a friend's house, it still does an impressive job of getting into a tight muscle space and loosening it up. I typically get a lower back pain when I have been packing or "cheffing" an intricate recipe. The Theracane has been good to have around when that happens. It plus some "floor" time has alleviated the pain enough that I don't take it (the pain) to bed!

After reading many of the reviews, I thought I had found heaven. Having back issues, knots and you name it; I wondered why there was no product out there for self back help. I came to find out, there was; Theracane. It does work and does help. I guess the reviews were a little almighty for me, but it beats $80.00 massages every two weeks!

This product is terrific. I keep it by my chair and use it just about every night on the knots in my shoulders. It's so fantastic, I have bought it for others.

The theracane has a good shape and weight to it. It allows me to hit any trigger points in my musculature that I need to massage.

As a pudendal nerve entrapment and chronic pelvic pain patient, I have spent many, many thousands of dollars on physical therapy over the years just to be able to sit. This device does not obviate all need for the laying of trained hands, but it does reduce the frequency with which such treatments are necessary, allowing me to poke and prod at all the knots in those hard-to-reach groiny places you don't talk about in mixed company on my own.At this price point I was kinda hoping it was made out of graphite or something, but it's just sturdy plastic--like what they make milk crates out of. I don't expect it to break anytime in the near future, but the surface texture creates a bit of drag which I personally could do without. Polish those knobs.

Don't expect it to be quite as comfortable as getting a real massage, but if you get tense frequently this is a really great way to alleviate the pain. When I get stressed out the muscles in my shoulder blades get so tight I can't release the tension without something to rub against it. This does the trick and keeps the soreness away.

I bought this for my husband because he was always trying to rub his own shoulder and back. I have arthritis in my hands, so I can't massage him very well, so the theracane enables him to massage his back and shoulder knots himself. He loves it!

the cane helps the pain, i had been using a tennis ball, the cane makes it easier to fined the pressure points, i learned not to do the points so long , with the cane a little pressure is all it takes, if in pain this does help. i am obese so this is one way to reach the points without help
