Our Outreach and Awareness Program focuses on reaching as much of the general public as possible. We do this by partnering with a variety of organizations such as 21st Century Fox and Deadpool campaign, music festivals, fraternities/sororities, website, social media, email, direct mail, distributing educational materials and various events. With the help of many volunteers we have distributed over 5 million educational materials within the 50 states including 8 other countries. Our volunteers are also great at offering peer to peer support within the TC community both online and through different events. We strive to spread awareness because early detection is key. Our ultimate goal is to prevent the loss of lives to TC through public education regarding the disease itself and the need for monthly self-exams. We are focused on bringing an international group of TC survivors and their loved ones together to address the physical and emotional toll of being diagnosed and treated for a cancer at a young age. We discuss life with and after cancer, and lifestyle changes that can help the healing process. We invite a panel of medical experts to provide pertinent information for patients currently fighting and resources for long-term survivorship. TCAF provides attendees with information and resources to advocate within their community about the importance of early detection.
