This wide pot lid knob was a perfect replacement for my large Magnalite Pot . It has its own screw and sits well on the pot. I have not had any problems with it being too hot to handle but I always use protection just in case.

The screw is not long enough to use with a magnanlite pot. Purchased new screws.

The inside thread of the knob is part of the plastic knob. If I don't screw in tight enough, it will fall out. But when I screw it tightly, the thread broken in less than 2 month while I was washing the lid. Look for those knobs with metal thread to save you some hassle, and money.
