At times, it seems like the switch overheats. Not as good as my previous replacement switch.

This switch works fine, but is NOT the correct switch for an older Harbor Freight compound sliding miter saw. You need the SW38D for full function. This switch works if you do not hook up the brake wires. I’m giving it a high rating because it is built well and functions fine.

Have a harbor freight 8 inch compound mitre saw made by Chicago Pneumatic the switch went belly up in under a year. Call harbor freight help line ' we don't support that saw any more '. Did a bit of digging and found this replacement switch. Installed in about 5 minutes. But had to trim one of the tabs under handle for 100 fit. No big deal. Saw working again I ordered another just in case switch.

Very simple almost direct replacement. Just a little trimming in the top handle and I'm back in the shop cutting wood.
