It's as good as foam blocks can get, but the straps are pretty useless. I bought ratchet straps to keep it really secure and use the straps in this kit as tie downs to my roof and rear hatch.

This was a gamble because I read some people wrote that the straps weren't sturdy enough for highway use. I used this kit to put a 12' and a 9'4 SUP on my car at the same time and drove 30 min 60 min on highway at speeds up to 65 mph. I was nervous but the boards were tied down rock solid and didn't move an inch. The straps kept tight and the foam blocks were good. They were equally tight when I arrived as when I had started driving.

this has kept my paddle board secure going down the freeway, just got it and went 45 minutes one way, then another 30 minuets one way today. make sure you follow the instructions and keep the board nose forward and upside down so the wind pushes the board down. does not shake and the straps kept tight, great purchase so far.

Dead cell foam bats like these really protect epoxy boards in all temps from pressure dings for sure.

I bought this for my wife so she could put her SUP on her sedan. She is vertically challenged and had trouble getting it on my taller SUV. It really helps her that she can strap the carrier to board and then lift both onto the car rather than trying to get the SUP on the carrier that is already attached to the car. It is stable enough for short trips around town. I am not sure if I would be comfortable driving for an extended period on the highway with the existing tie downs, but it works fine for our purposes. You could easily by some heavy duty ratcheting tie downs to make it more stable for long trips.

Worked well to carry out two SUP's camping. Remember to twist the straps or the noise will drive you crazy! Once properly strapped down I had no issues!

My family vehicle is a Buick Encore. We searched and searched for an after market roof rack to carry our stand up paddle board, but kept coming up empty. We decided to give this a shot. We traveled 5 hours from Louisiana to Florida. I set the cruise control on 68mph, and went as fast as 75mph to pass other cars. The board didn't move at all. This is a great product.
