Mission: Our Mission is to encourage, honor and support the human-animal bond in the Suncoast Region of Florida. Our Vision is to celebrate a community whose pets are safe, protected and loved.

Results: 1,232 pets were adopted or reunited in 2018, and through our Preventive Health Care Clinic we spayed/neutered 1,861 animals at affordable fees. We also offer preventive services at our clinic to further help pet owners afford continuing care and keep pets in their homes where they belong.

Target demographics: Our shelter helps more than 50,000 animals and people each year.

Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2018, there were 1,232 pets adopted and reunited; 6,011 Preventive Health Care Clinic patients; 1,861 spay/neuter surgeries; 22,664 pounds of pet food re-distributed to animals in need; being 100% donor funded by over 7,000 generous supporters.

Geographic areas served: Southwest Florida including Charlotte and Sarasota Counties, Boca Grande and beyond.

Programs: adoptions, low-cost preventive health care, animal enrichment, Pet Therapy, Foster Care, Lost and Found, Dog Obedience Training, Community Pet Food Bank, Humane Education and Outreach, Shelter Angel Medical Fund, Volunteer Opportunities, Disaster Resources, Fospice, and more; all aimed to create and support a no-kill community.
