Honestly, I thought this product would be bad, but it works really good! It melts good, and the rosin seems to distribute well. The temperature is as labeled, and it is great for my through-hole soldering! I like how well it works and its melting speed is good. The wire is not to stiff, but not too loose!

Electrical Soldering have not done since the 1980's when owned a hobby store so forgot a lot over 40 years need it for light electrical wiring of loco's and track power looks like the grade is about right for both for HO scale, if is not they have a bunch other thickness. try it price is right for next day delivery

I like to keep 63-37 on hand for small electronic projects and noticed my old brand wasn't available currently so I purchased this and I was delighted. I use a Weller set to 340 C and tried with and without flux on Awg gauges 16-28 and was pleasantly pleased with how well the solder flowed and held. No mess, no splatter no, sharpe edges, just a clean joint and no cleanup. Great value for the money and easy to use as long as you follow soldering practices and I would highly recommend.

Worked great with a pinecil. Used it outside in the cold to fix up reverse camera wiring and had no issues. Didn't have to send the pinecil to extreme temps to melt.

Could not get it to heat nor flow at typical melting points. So I increased the temperature of my iron. Even at higher temperatures, it still didn't flow correctly between the parts. So I cut a cross section of the solder and I was unable to find rosin in the core. This item might be solid instead. But I could be wrong. Bottom Line: If you are using this on Through-Hole Retro Computers or Electronics, consider old school 60/40 rosin core instead of this item.
