This is a great simple option to safely tie in your generator to your panel. Just make sure you get the right one for the panel you have.

I had to modify slightly for my application based on my breaker location. Even though I would be the only one using the generator, I feel safer with this installed just in case anyone else had to go to the breaker box. And it keeps me from forgetting a step.

These work great, i have used them to add generator interconnects to multiple panels. you have to install in the upper left position on CH panels BUT the price has come down and is a good valve. a must if you don't want to kill linemen and backfeed the neighborhood with your home generator. (also a code requirement)

This interlock does not fit the newer plug-on-neutral CH panels. In these plug-on-neutral panels, the main breaker seems to be a half inch to the left vs the older CH panel, although the 1-1/2 vertical spacing is the same between the main and first breaker. I had to cut a notch out of the upper right corner - see picture. Taking off a star only because the listing claims it fits all CH panels with the 1-1/2 spacing but it didn't fit mine. Otherwise works great now that I modified it.

I've purchased 2 of these to be installed on 2020 model Eaton Cutler Hammer Panels. Both had to be fabricated to fit and work correctly. Once fabricated does it work safe and properly? Absolutely. Is it dangerous in anyway once fabricated? Absolutely not. I will look elsewhere in the future and not buy these again.

This simple little thing provides a safe secure method to connect your backup generator to your house. Not as convenient as a transfer switch but a much mor economical and safe way to connect for those very rare periods of power failure.

I will try to add pictures when I can, but this works perfect. I am very happy. The key is to make sure you match the design with the panel you have, and also being able to install your gen breaker next to your main shutoff. I found this very easy to install.

I have an Eaton panel with the main at the bottom. I got this to work but I needed to modify it slightly. It would be nice to have a template for the screw hole locations.It is a great device and saved 300 dollars on the other Eaton alternative.

Did not fit my brand new CH panel without being altered, but it was a quick fix by cutting out a half inch square out of the right corner in the top of the sliding piece.
