Mission: Seattle Arts & Lectures cultivates transformative experiences through story and language with readers and writers of all generations in the greater Puget Sound region. SAL's public programs include the Literary Arts series, the Poetry series, Women You Need to Know (WYNK), SAL Presents, and a brand new three-part community-curated series that launched in the 2021/22 season. Writers in the Schools (WITS) matches accomplished creative writers writers with local K-12 public schools and hospitals for yearlong residences. Students discover their authentic voices, build community, and develop writing skills that will support them throughout their lives.

Seattle Arts and Lectures is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1992, and donations are tax-deductible.
