I have a long-time friend who didn't camp until she met me, because she'd be cold/wet/uncomfortable and never knew what type of gear to spend her money on. I bought her this blanket for Christmas after I let her borrow my olive green rothco wool blankets for camping - she thought they'd be scratchy and gross. After that night, she told me wool was literally fing magical.It's a bit fancier than my olive drab ones and should fit in with her style better. She was excited and even said she'd keep it out on her bed, which I wasn't expecting. It's got lower wool content than the olive drab ones, but that doesn't matter in this case.

One can definitely feel the weight of this 4 wool blanket. It's wool, so not 'soft', but not super-scratchy either. Reminds me of my old military blankets, so I can say it is what it says it is: a 4 blanket with Swiss markings replicated. Dry cleaning odor was light but lingered, and I did need to hang it for a couple days before use, but that was expected. I have been using it for awhile this winter, as a quilt replacement, and it is warm! It is possible I will purchase again.

I followed the advice of another reviewer and washed this blanket twice before using. Before washing it was a bit stiff, there was a slight odor but not overpowering. I did not use fabric softener. It is now soft, warm and comfortable. It is also a nice looking blanket; I use it on my couch as a cozy throw.

I bought this blanket for my bed, and so far it has not disappointed. It's light but it retains the warmth when I'm under the covers. A good buy.

It is not what I had hoped for, the product is fine. The only big thing is the smell, it is pungent and I am not sure what it is but it smells quite awful. When I wanted to return it I realized that I had to pay for the return label. I went to the post office, it would cost $40 what I paid for them. I will read the return policies next time.Update: I washed them twice and the smell is gone, they also wash and dry (air only) very well and are now super soft.
