Worked great. Go slow and use tap oil. Back it out and clean the area of debris as you go. Don’t force it.

Worked great! Ran an appropriate socket, I have a craftsman multipoint socket that went on the end of this nice to clean up the threads.

I've broken taps before. This one stood up to some high but careful pressure to thread a hole in steel.

If it could give it zero stars I would. Not only did this product arrive rusted in its packaging. It didn’t even last enough to make any threads. Cheap China garbage. Don’t waste your money. Avoid at all costs.

Arrived in a very nice plastic case. The tap was clean, sharp and nicely manufactured. Had to drill out 2 stuck screws and then clean the threads. Wasn’t sure how well it would work, but it exceeded all my expectations. This is a very nice tap! Excellent!

Excellent set of taps for starting and bottom threading blind holes. Strong taps, very sharp. Accurate threads. I use these to cut plug threads in hardened steel crankshafts. The taps laughed at cutting threads in forged steel..

Uncommon tap size to find. I usually order tools like this from McMaster Carr but they didn't have it. I used it on my VW Solex carburetor after I stripped a thread in the housing. Used JB Weld to fill the hole, then drilled and re-tapped the hole with this tap. Worked great.

I was installing a tow hitch on our vehicle, and the bolt holes had some corrosion and Road grime preventing the bolt from biting. So I used this to chase the threads and installation was easy after that! This size wasn't available in the kits I looked at, so I was happy to see it here.

Ordered this tap to cut threads in a through-hole rotor shaft so the rotor could be removed with a forcing screw. The tap arrived in a small, clear plastic case inside of a plastic bag. Nifty little case for storage. The tap's fit and finish were excellent with sharply defined threads throughout and a very nice gradual taper to start. It alligned and cut the threads smoothly and with ease. I used a Lisle tap socket and ratchet to drive it with 80W-90 gear lube for cutting oil. I'm very pleased with the tap and would definitely order another Drill America tap or drilling tool when the need arises.
