-Ok Tap and Die Set -Even though the box says lifetime warranty, APEX changed their policy and NO Longer warranties taps or dies -Quality Control is also suspect, I've had 3 miss labeled dies so Make sure you confirm the markings match threads before cutt

Good quality and nice case. Only thing is it does not have m12x1.25 and that's very common on what I work on.

Works well, fits tap and dies well with universal adapters, good grip, easy to use especially in comparison to the older styles I've used, the ratchet design works well

Every time I use a piece it breaks, instead of replacing them I just throw that piece out until the case will be empty. I am afraid to use them again as I am tired of having to drill out the broken pieces. Don't be like me if you want a set that will do the work spend the money and get a real set,

The best part of this set is the variety of bigger dies it contains, My last set(I still have it) did not meet my needs. I do woodworking combined with metal work, many times I need to create threads in a specific size and this set has all I might need.One extra plus is the ratcheting function of the handles, simplifies the job.

This is sooo much better quality than the set I have been using for over a decade. Can't believe I waited this long to buy this. I used it for the first project--extending the threads for some drawer handles--and it was a breeze. I really love how the taps fit into the ratcheting handle. It is far, far, easier to tap threads. Add that to the well-organized, easy to read case setup and I'm happy. Yeah, it doesn't cure cancer, but it's the best tap and die set for my needs.

I just got this set yesterday. I have gone through 5 different other sets before I got to the Gearwrench set. I opened the set and tried it out. The set looked great. To start, I threaded a brass rod. That went great. Feeling the excitement, I tried to thread a stainless Steal rod. This did not work. I found the cutting groves that start the threading had bent over. After trying a couple of times, I couldn't get it to work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Who knows. But I'm leery of trying it again. I was able to cut threads on a different Brass rod afterward. So I guess I have more to learn about Taps and Dies. All around though, it did get the job done. I'm happy with the kit for now.

Really like this kit was a bit pricey compared to other brands but I have had good experience with gearwrench. I needed it to rethread license plate bolts and it worked excellent. It's not a tool that I use often but good to have in my collection of tools.

These are more accurate and durable than my old Harbor Freight taps and die set. For example, the Harbor Freight tool that holds the die had the retaining screw simply strip out because the metal is like play-dough soft. These tools are much thicker and have stronger metal which makes them better in many ways. It took a while to be delivered, but worth the wait.

Love the quality of this drive set. I've been using a large Irwin set of taps made in USA but the drives are made in China. This is a night and day difference. The ratchet function is very nice, I do wish the direction switch was slightly smaller as I've accidentally bumped it a few times. Other than that, I look forward to using it. The case is nice. I don't usually case my tools bc it takes up too much room. But this one is low profile and nice.

I sent this back amp; got re-charged for it. Spoke to customer service amp; was told I'd be credited as they saw package was dropped off at a UPS Store. Still have not been credited and have called 3 more times!
