I played guitar for 20 years before I tried one of these and I have to say I was blown away. Treble bleed circuits like these should be standard and every guitar manufactured. Makes the volume control completely usable like it should be.

I have a treble bleed (this or similar) in almost all of my guitars. This helps to keep the tone from getting muddy/dull as you turn the volume down. Almost ALL guitars could benefit from adding this, especially humbucker guitars. The nice thing about this particular treble bleed is that it is adjustable so you can set just the amount you want. Highly recommend!

This unique little treble bleed has brightenedup my humbuckers in the 0-8 orso volume range. This allowsme to use tone control andwork on dynamics, whichI didn't do as much becausebecause of muffled toneat reduced guitar volumes. If I'm not working I generally leavestrings on until they start breaking. Single coil pups are much brighterand clearer than humbuckers, andwhat I've usually played thru andrequire less string changes. Picked up l.p. style guitar afew years ago that I digbutmuddy at lower instrumentlevels.Fresh strings on aregular basis helps. New 1meg pots and cap didwonders, and this was thefinishing touch! Went with this because it isADJUSTABLE and simpleto install.Have messedwith this control andfinally got the sweetspot. Wanted to do treble bleed overa year ago,but watching videosabout soldering in differentresisters till finding sweetspot stopped me.A little twist with a smallscrewdriver and yourin there! Yes I recommend, and if u don'tlike turn screw fully ccw andit's out of circuit!!! I like!

So I installed this in my HH Stratocaster because after putting in Bourns 500k push/pull pots the volume is kind of on/off because of the high end loss that happens so soon.It installs very easily being you only need to solder 2 wires and then peelstick it to wherever you want - they recommend mounting it on the back of large pots which is great for rear-routed guitars, for Strats or similar I recommend placing them behind the output jack cover or behind the rear trem access cover so you can adjust it without unmounting your pickguard. The point of having this is so you don't have to do any guitar surgery just to tune your treble bleed so be sure to place it in a spot you can actually utilize that aspect.Usage performance:So you adjust it with your pot around 6 until you get the amount of highs you want. Like other people have said, mine had to be maxed out to be where I want it and the difference between the adjustment being all the way left vs all the way right is quite minimal. I think this would really benefit from slightly higher capacitor value and for sure a higher resistor value. But with that in mind even though I'm barely keeping the highs I wanted the pot is performing better, it's no longer on/off. It has a pretty good taper/range now that I'm quite happy with.Depending on your volume pot pickups this may be perfect for your guitar but for my Bourns 500k push/pull Alnico 5 humbuckers it's barely adequate. I might try this again for my SS Tele but for my other guitars I think I'll create my own adjustable treble bleed just to tune each guitar then hardwire in permanent treble bleeds.

ok, I installed this into an Ibanez Artcore that I converted into a Gretsch with filtertrons and circuit etc. After installing I did the full sweep test to hear how it works. Once you hit the sweet spot, it's magic. You turn down the volume and the tone remains intact with no thinness. I am a real tone critic, snob, call it what you want, so I was skeptical at first. Very impressed and it take the guess work out of resistors/caps pairing. Well done guys.

Ended up adjusting this to highest level. Very subtle otherwise. No issues.
