Pros: You will pass inspection with this alarm Cons: You'll want to remove it 2 minutes after the inspector leaves. Why!? This product desperately needs some more LED indicators. It's designed to go off if someone opens the door(and even if they close it again) within 7 seconds. If you open the door and press the one button it's supposed to disarm. Only this is very glitchy and sometimes doesn't work... So now you're outside on the deck and the alarm goes off and you need to go press the button... will it go off AGAIN!?! Who knows! This product needs a "I'm disarmed" LED so you can confidently go out the door. 2 guesses what I did after the inspector left...

poor design even worst performance / a joke no alarm, just a whisper, should you be selling this equipment- twice ordered in 2 months; neither works

Once installed it is pretty easy to use, installation isn't too difficult though

We had a new pool installed and the inspector required a door alarm for the sliding door that leads to the deck next to the pool. We should be able to pass final inspection with this alarm installed. There are two settings: the first sounds right away when the door is opened to alert you in case a child would try to get to the pool, the second sounds after a 7-second delay. This alarm is very loud, like you can't ignore it kind of loud. Very reminiscent of a fire alarm-type pitch and you will want to turn it off ASAP, which is the point.
