Nice peel to build or serve pizza on however a thinner slotted peel is better for launching onto the oven stone. The solid bamboo peel transfers too much flour to the stone resulting in burnt flour under the pizza.

Best ever pizza paddle this has saved my brothers life before i bought this for him every time he took a pizza from the oven he would somehow drop it perhaps because he was using a spatula he dropped his pizza on the rack on the door on the floor but now he never drops his pizza it’s great and he servers it on the paddle too

This bamboo pizza peel is ok for now but I still have to buy a perforated steel/aluminum 1618 inch peel because with this bamboo peel my pizza dough keeps getting stuck to it. You have to place so much semolina onto it and I don't like that much at the bottom of my pizzas because it tastes horrible and burnt.... period!!!

This is a beautiful pizza paddle. It's definitely big enough to handle even the most voracious of appetites. The bamboo is gorgeous but it's also functional and really ups your pizza game. But it has many uses beyond even pizza. It also has the makings of a great charcuterie board, for example. You'll be inspired to serve things extra large and believe me, no one complains about that.

I ordered this pizza peel looking to use it for my homemade pizzas, and I used it exactly the same way as I do any other peel I've tried but it went miserably. This peel is horrible at absorbing flour; when making pizza on the peel it got stuck and my pizza to turned into an oval before I could even put it on to my steel. If you just want to use this to take pizza out of the oven and aren't worried about sticking it might be fine but this product is so cheap feeling that I don't know why you'd bother with this one. Just cutting the pizza left an indent in the wood which is an awful omen for how easily it could split with long term use. Finally the worst part of the peel is the dimensions: I can't fathom why on earth they thought it was a good idea to make it 18x14 instead of 18x16 or 18x18. The small horribly asymmetric size made even just constructing the pizza an ordeal. I have another better pizza peel with a fiber-wood composite material and quite frankly I think I'm just going to be sticking with that one for the foreseeable future instead. In short: this barely passes for a cutting board let alone a pizza peel.

I have wanted a pizza peel for a long time. Every once in a while we make homemade pizza from scratch and though we do not have a pizza oven, I wonder if this would help us have a more authentic type of pizza. Well, I have not baked a pizza yet but I can tell you this OUTSET EXTRA LARGE BAMBOO PIZZA PADDLE is looking great. It is a terrific size, and nicely made, no rough edges or splinters. It is also a light weight. I have difficulty lifting heavy things into the oven because of arthritis, and have always hesitated getting one of these because I feared the weight of the wood, but by using bamboo to make this it seems to be a lighter tool. I will not suggest soaking any wooden tools in water, just wash, wipe and dry to keep the wood in good shape but I think we will like using this pizza paddle. It looks great.
