Motor Guard Sub-Micronic Compressed Air Filters are the ultimate defense against damaging, dirty air. Designed for installation at to the point of use, these filters remove particulates, condensed moisture and oil aerosols down to an incredible .01 microns in size. No other filter on the market provides this level of protection combined with a low pressure drop and ease of use. Produced from a propreitaty blend of hydrophilic fibers, the wound element in the Motor Guard filter traps contaminants and absorbs large quantities of moisture and oil. The M-30 model features a mounting bracket and hardware for use with 1/4 inch hose. This unit will mount in spray booths, on plasma cutters or on other equipment requiring ultra-clean air and a flexible connection.

I used to buy these for oil filtration. The local oil distributor would sell these and a press for recovering the synthetic oil which was close to $500 per kgm. We would mount them in parallel to maximize flow. They worked great at keeping the particle count down to sub-micron, making the engines and pumps last longer. What's this nonsense about using them for air-lines? Been there done that, these just fill up with water within minutes on a humid day. You need refrigeration after the expansion in the compressor to get the water to dropout.

I am the maintenance manager at a commercial print company and we have very expensive equipment that is sensitive to dirty air. We use a air dryer/oil separator on our house air and 3 stage filters at each machine but none of that stops the fine oil mist that gets carried through with the air. The Motor guard filter has a toilet paper roll type filter that stopped all the mist with out reducing air flow. the only thing I don't like is the mounting bracket.the tabs on the housing are tapered so when you tighten the bolts and give it a wiggle the housing slips out of the bracket.
